  If Carlsberg sold cars.... I have been looking to buy my daughter her first car as a 21st birthday treat. After lots of deliberation and research the choice was a Hyundai i10 .We are based in Glasgow and so tried some of the 'big boys' in the car trade (you know who I mean...) This was not as straightforward as I first thought. Their websites had erroneous info, cars had already been sold, and the indicated mileage and other info were often not quite as it first appeared. Using Hyundai's own search facility we found the 'perfect' match at Borders Hyundai based in Dumfries. After an email 'enquiry form' was posted, a quick and unexpected response came from Joe at Borders Hyundai in the form of a phone message to say that a short video had been sent to my contact details and I should check it was not being treated as spam. There as promised was a 90sec video showing the car outside and in displaying the mileage as claimed on the website along with a few other helpful comments. A couple of emails later I was arranging to go down to Dumfries and have a look for ourselves. They very kindly offered to meet us 'halfway' (in Abingdon) but we refused and journeyed down to Dumfries. After a fifteen minute test drive two signatures and a chip and pin transfer and the business was almost done. We were directed to a nearby garden centre for tea/coffee and very nice cakes while the remaining 'business' was completed (DVLA and Road Tax) and all in less than 30mins. At no point had there been any pressured selling techniques, or 'hurry up' heavy hints that other buyers were ready to pounce if we delayed. Everyone we spoke to at Borders Hyundai (including the sales manager) was incredibly helpful and friendly. After the sale we had follow up contacts to check we were happy and that we and not forgotten anything on the day. Simply put, this is how it should be. Well done to all at Borders Hyundai and keep up the excellent standards.
